Introduction: With the now abundant appearance of flying, flaming party decorations in the night skies, first in the UK where Chinese Lanterns are all the rage, and now cropping up as a favorite low budget aerial spoof in Canada and the U.S., we feel it appropriate to place all the "orange light" type UFO reports that also fit the basic description of Chinese Lanterns (commercial or homemade) in one data file. Some of these sightings may indeed be something other than Chinese Lanterns, but we can never know for sure. Our criteria is simple on determining if the report belongs in this data file or not, as you will see the repeat and distinct similarities from report to report. We will nonetheless continue to report all that come in and take them no less seriously than any other report; we merely feel these deserve a unique classification due to their similarity, the reality of Chinese Lanterns, what they do, how they appear and their popularity. Either this is the case, or the UK, Canada and the US is being thoroughly invaded by alien beings who have a massive fleet of glowing orange craft. We leave it for you to decide. Reports:
