Object With Long Flame Tail Changes Direction
Over Nassau County, New York

Date: July 24, 2010
Time: Late evening.

I live on the south shore of Nassau County. Late last night I was sitting with neighbors in their backyard when I noticed a strange object with what seemed to be a long flame like tail in the sky. The shape of the object was hard to make out, but 3 of us saw it and it changed speed and direction twice. Any ideas?
