Questionable Chinese UFO/Airport Incident Photos Surface
7-15-10

The UFO incident at Xian airport and subsequent photos that have surfaced on the net following should not be confused. It is clear that 'something' shut down the airport, and the government stated it was military in nature and left it that, with no follow up announcments as promised. The UFO should be thoroughly investigated, however the current crop of photos distract from the legitimacy of such an inquiry because of the means by which they were produced is well known to anyone who has even the slightest knowledge of photography.

The following photos have surfaced on the net, purported to be the "UFO" that shut down the Airport at Xian on 7.8.10. These, like the initial photo released, are simply longer exposure shots, most likely of a helicopter and possibly a helicopter using a search light, which accounts for the "beams" of light. The bright points of light are the blinking lights of the chopper, while the extended, clearly overburned bright streak is the main continuously burning light at the front. In an extended exposure, blinking lights appear as points of light separated by equal spaces as the helicopter moves and the continuous light burns in a strong, elongated streak for the duration of the exposure. Notice also the slight movement of trees in the first photo also give evidence to this exposure method, being slightly blurred or doubled. In the background, though difficult to see, streaking lights along a roadway can be seen on the left from traveling vehicles.

In the photo above the extended exposure has amplified the search light and surrounding outdoor lighting around the apartment complex to almost daylight level. The extended exposure time ramps up light sources to 'overburn.'

Above, the search light can be seen appearing at different angles across the exposure time,
which is fitting with the singular movement of the helicopter and an independantly
operated search light beam, which is commonplace

Below, a known example of a helicopter photo with extended exposure

It is unfortunate that these fraudulent photos will likely distract from the real issue of the UFO event which very likely took place at the airport. This seems to be a pattern with many UFO incidents, especially in China, South America, Mexico and places where accurate information and journalistic integrity are either hard to come by, nonexistent or ignored.
