Bright Object With Rays Of Light Over Huntley, Illinois

Date: Last week in June 2010
Time: Between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.

I saw something hanging in the sky to the north of Huntley, Illinois one evening during the last week of June. It was between 12:00am and 2:00am, I am not sure. It was fixed in the sky and relatively low. It was a bright light with bright rays, yet a shadow was between the center and the rays. It was odd as I felt as if I could get nearer to it unlike a star. It was unnerving.
