Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was having a smoke on my back door step as I don't smoke indoors and noticed what I thought was a plane, until it got closer and I realized that it was bright orange and had no aviation lights at all. I called my girlfriend to come and look, which she did and she agreed that it had no flashing lights and was bright orange. It moved quite slowly in a northerly direction, then changed course to a north westerly direction picking up speed and altitude for what seemed like several miles. It then stopped dead in the air, it went behind some clouds, but had gone when they passed. I always thought UFO sightings came from nutters or hoaxers, now I'm completely freaked out.

I've looked on the net since the sighting and it seems these orange balls are quite common and I'm sure that if there has been so many sightings, the authorities must know more than they say. My head is upside down since that night, and I haven't been able to get it out of my head. I must sound nuts, but I know what we saw and it's scary to be honest as it was in no hurry to hide itself. Someone else must have seen it, please let me know if you get another sighting from this area.
