Glowing Orange Ball Of Light Over Birmingham East UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was looking north from East Birmingham and I noticed a glowing orange ball of light coming towards me from the north. At first I thought it was a meteorite with the speed in which it travelled, only for it to change coarse and zig zag it's way towards Birmingham City centre in the west from my home. From there it went straight up until it was no longer visible.

I don't buy into the idea it was a Chinese lantern as the light was too bright, the sort of wattage only power could achieve, and as i live close to Birmingham International I notice the comings and goings of the planes, to which there was none at the time of the sighting. As we all know, sound travels faster during the night and this ball of light was silent. I called my wife out to confirm the sighting, so I do have a witness to the event. This is my first (but hopefully not my last) sighting. I believe.
